CUSTOM at GITEX Tech Week 36th edition in Dubai

SOME NUMBERS OF 2016 GITEX TECH WEEK

GITEX is one of the biggest IT events in the world. This 36th edition, held on October 16-20, registered more than 146,000 visitors, coming from 144 different countries. Lots of technology professionals that during those 5 days had been able to meet the most innovative trends of the market (Middle East and international). There were more than 4,000 international tech leader companies directly involved, and about 2,000 exhibitors, including Custom SpA.

Custom took advantage of this event to introduce the ultimate innovations of its 6 Division, especially POS and Industrial: solutions for the optimization of processes, reducing waste (materials, time) and ? at the same time ? improving the user-experience.

IN DUBAI THEY ARE BUILDING THE FUTURE

The success of this international event is not accidental. The capital city of the most famous of the seven United Arab Emirates nowadays represents the core of the innovative drive that is crossing the Middle East and the whole planet. The willing to improve thanks to innovation and high technology is in the air, and all seems to be focused on a special event: the 2020 Universal Exhibition.

DUBAI EXPO 2020: CONNECTING MINDS, CREATING THE FUTURE

For the first time after more than 150 years, a Universal Exhibition will be organized in a region including MeNaSa territories: Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. The visitors foreseen for the first 6 months of the Exhibition, that will take place from October, 20th 2020 to April, 10th 2021, are more than 25 millions, with the idea of reaching the highest percentage of international visitors ever, which means 70% of visitors coming from countries different from United Arab Emirates

.The goal will be the creation of meetings involving more than 200 countries, organizations and international institutes for an event that will open directly to the Golden Jubilee of the Country. The theme is "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" and it recalls the spirit of collaboration and cooperation that lead United Arab Emirates to successfully exploring new paths for development and innovation. Through this theme, the Universal Exhibition will be the center, connecting minds from all over the world and inspiring participants towards shared challenges. There are three under-themes for Expo 2020:

- Sustainability: progress without compromising the needs of future generations;

- Mobility: unlocking the potential of people and communities to contribute to a better future;

- Opportunities: creation of smarter and more productive connections.
