International trade shows, partnerships, and strategic projects
The transition from 2022 to 2023 brings an immediate confirmation: for the fourth consecutive year, Custom is ranked among the winners of the Deloitte "Best Managed Company" award. What follows is a packed schedule of participation in international events, perhaps never as dense in the past.
In addition to the traditional European events, there are trips to Singapore, Dubai, North America, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Japan, but above all, India, where the Group makes its historic debut at enormous fairs such as In-store Asia and MAPIC. Shifting our focus from abroad to home, we cannot fail to mention the start of construction work for the company's new headquarters in Ponte Taro, in the Province of Parma.
But 2023 is also the year that sees the birth of important strategic partnerships. Above all, the entry of Touchwindow into Custom, a company specialized in designing digital environments, following its acquisition by Netrising. Other milestones include the "Think Green" project, a series of activities in which the Group commits to reducing its ecological footprint for a more sustainable future, and the supply of innovative robot waiters to the tex-mex restaurant Calavera in the CityLife Shopping District of Milan. Also crucial is the design of new Advanced Retail Solutions, complete self-service systems.
In 2023, CUSTOM Pay is born, the new subsidiary through which our company enters the world of digital payments. The proposed solution is simple, cost-effective, and adaptable to every point of sale, merging tax matters and electronic payments.
This year also sees an increasingly close partnership between the Group and the world of motorsports. Custom once again confirms its role as the Official Partner of the MotoGPTM LCR Honda team, and it plays a key role at the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix in Monza by installing 200 operational cash points throughout the race weekend.
