InnoTrans 2016: transports innovation attracts more than 160,000 visitors

Also this year the eleventh edition of InnoTrans transformed Berlin in the main meeting point of the international railway industry. On September 20-23 the tradeshow hosted 2,955 exhibitors coming from 60 different countries (+7% vs. 2014), who showed products and services dedicated to transports. The international event counted 144,470 professionals coming from more than 140 countries (+4% vs. 2014), who had been able to discover 127 innovative vehicles showed in the outdoor display space and at least 149 international previews. On September 24 and 25, in addition to the 145,000 professionals, 16,000 railway enthusiasts visited Messe Berlin outdoor display and admired the latest models of wagons, locomotives, tramways, trains and special vehicles showed on 3,500 meters of rails.

CUSTOM SPA AMONG WORLD PREMIÈRE COMPANIES

Custom Spa was among the exhibitors qualified as World Première company thanks to the several innovative proposals dedicated to transports and showed in the tradeshow: all-in-one printing solutions to optimize the management of public transports and parkings; software solutions able to simplify working flows; mobile applications for job security, developped for OBB (Austrian Federal Railways). Let's have a look at the details:

Custom PP54

At InnoTrans 2016 Custom introduced the new PP54, the complete and innovative solution for the management of the tickets for public transports and parkings. The concept developed by Custom R&D is simple: using a single ticket for many purposes, manufacturing a printer for different applications. PP54 prints with 300 dpi resolution and scans in 2 or 4 directions ISO7811 tickets, but also coupons, plastic cards or c-less (HF RFID) cards. Having a printing and ticket issuing speed lower than one second, PP54 is the fastest system available in the market, able to handle up to 3 tickets simultaneously, with 2 retract ways (bottom and rear).

Custom Power Tool

Custom Power Tool is the innovative software that made Custom win World Première recognition at InnoTrans 2016. It's a tool designed to simplify working flows and offer a stand alone solution based on cloud platforms. Custom Power Tools is able to work with all the operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android, iOS) and includes two different tools, complementary and able to create an important synergy: DESIGN and PRINTING. The first is a graphics customization tool (logos, barcodes, pictures, lines), the second is useful for encoding, allowing a programming which is independent from the operating system and the creation of two different xml file.

SOS-Notfall APP

Custom SpA, together with Netrising, company belonging to Custom Group, developed a new app for OBB (Austrian Federal Railways), with unique hardware and functions to protect employees in case of emergency or danger. SOS-Notfall is a real instrument for control and safety, both active and inactive: from the worker side, it allows to ask for help through alerts transmission in a simple, secure (it's also possible to exclude the smartphone's speaker to make emergency silent calls) and fast way; from management side, it gives possibilty to check staff´s localization only in case of emergency to be able.
