Retail Institute - Custom presents a robotic automation solution for restaurants

The pilot project started in early December with the installation of the first Robot at the Calavera restaurant in the CityLife Shopping District in Milan. Custom has provided a robot to help dining room staff deliver orders to tables, in restaurants and beyond. The robot consists of an integrated storage unit with several sections and levels so that it can handle multiple deliveries to up to 4 tables, thanks to its 4 trays with two different positioning options. Next to the compartment used for delivering orders, a Wi-Fi-connected touch screen displays information for customers, who can review their order.
