System Retail has drawn on know-how built up over time and in the field during more than 30 years of activity to identify and satisfy a genuine latent need: ADVANCED INTEGRATION BETWEEN CASH REGISTERS AND SCALES, of which System Retail is the first developer. The solution makes it possible to monitor and control fresh and dry products through an information management system based on software that combines QR CODES and RELATIONAL DATABASES. A specific, dedicated IT tool that manages relational databases, has an always-on connection and offers applications suited to PC-based scales. Starting from a hardware analysis of the new PC-based scales, System Retail identified a technology that can print and store more information on a relational database, specifically a QR code (which by its nature can hold more information: from the bag issued by the assisted-service scale to the expiry date, the price per kilo and traceability). The solution allows the QR code to be used in such a way that there is no need for a connection between cash registers and scales, or at least to strengthen it exponentially; the QR code takes care of this, thanks to the information it can manage. System Retail has also provided scanners designed to read and manage the information contained in the QR code. In this way, the company has met the need to improve the management of crucial information for store management, developing a user-friendly interface for the analysis and strategic management of information, technical details, products and inventory updates, in order to optimise time and resources in real time.
